I've been thinking and praying a lot about what the next step in my life should be. I mean besides attempting to be a decent wife and mother on a daily basis. I can tell you right now that I do not plan on being a nurse in Hilo forever(not there is anything wrong with that). I have big dreams, now I just need the courage and wisdom to know how and where to begin.
My first dream is to go back to school and become a midwife so that I can assist women, here in Hawaii and around the world, in natural, safe childbirth. There is a huge need around the world for midwives!
On that note: this lady is such an inspiration--- Edna Adan At the age of 65, she cashed in her retirement, sold her car and built a women's and children's hospital in Somaliland! My point is, it's never too late to think big and go for your dreams, especially when it involves serving others in God's name.
Another dream I've had for a while is to travel to places like Edna's hospital, take lots of photos and then paint inspiring, beautiful paintings that will educate and enlighten others to the "real world" outside of facebook and the country club.
I don't know what God has in store for our family, and that's okay. But we will continue to pray that He will lead us in His good, pleasing and perfect will day by day.
And to leave, a pic of Lucy where she is happiest....anywhere outside playing!
